For clarity, I wasn’t complaining that you want more paid subscribers. You should totally be paid for your work, which is awesome. Just not possible for me right now.
where does locals fit in on this? Is it better for Bridget if I let locals expire and move to Beyond Parody on Phetasy.com? I have been mulling the idea of moving to Founding Member because of the ability to see the stand up sets
Substack has the ability to host podcasts, so we are naturally gravitating most of our content here especially now that they’re doing video too. So yes, unless you are just in love with the community over there I think naturally over the next few years we will migrate here. I know that community means a lot to people so I’m not closing it.
Made the move today. So if you see your locals subscriber number go down its just me moving to Founder level on Phetasy.com. I am a fan of comedy and the ability to see your progression with your sets really appeals to the fan in me.
Hi, Bridget - I listened to your show today and was incredibly bummed to hear you say you were going to quit if potatus won again in Nov. I really hope that neither of those things happen because I don't think I could take it either. I just ponied up and subscribed to support you and what you do. Just so you know, I don't subscribe to anything, ever. I'm a poor who still lives in the communist state of California, so I don't spend money on online content. I don't ever even subscribe to youtube channels, but I did it for you because think you're fucking awesome and I hope that you keep doing this for a long time to come. Hang in there, lil' buckaroo - what you do means a lot and makes a difference to a lot of us out here.
Just signed up after your call for support. MORE DUMPSTER FIRE EPISODES! I feel like comics have an ebb and flow-sometimes you are trending and sometimes people get upset and you loose them. Maybe we should call it, "developing your core audience". Which I am happy to say I am part of.
Locals has a podcast player. Is the one on Substack better? I support you on both platforms, but I'm not in love with the Substack app. Locals has its problems, but I love the community aspect there. I'm bummed it's no longer the landing for phetasy.com and isn't being promoted. Oh well. I've heard the latest Locals update is crap, and I'm refusing to update until I hear something good about it. I've emailed them many improvement suggestions over the past 4 years, and maybe one was implemented. I can only imagine how they are to deal with as a creator.
I’m pretty sure I’m a “founding member” (if I’m not, send me a link, I can’t figure it out!), but I can’t access your “founding members only” content. Substack is not very old-reader-friendly.
Hi Eve-Alice, I took a look and it appears that you're a Paid Supporter, not a Founding Member. Sorry for any confusion! Here's a link to the different subscription tiers - https://www.phetasy.com/subscribe
Bridget, I apologize for bugging you with technical details. Since this last message I became a founding member, but I still can’t access your last post for such member, and I don’t see anywhere on the substack app where I can address this!
Hey there- I did actually have the same issue when I tried to upgrade to Founding. I went back to my subscriptions and the transaction was voided. It might be because I’m already doing a monthly subscription? I just thought I would throw this out there because I don’t want you to lose potential paid subscribers due to an issue with Substack processing subscriptions. All of this should be taken with a grain of salt as it’s possible my payment method was flagged by my credit card as possible fraudulent activity. Ive got the day off and will dig into it while playing your content on all screens in my house 😉 and let you know at the livestream later.
Whelp, maybe you can scratch that (at least on my account) as it appears your standup is coming through my feed and states founding member and I can view it...
I wish I could be a paid subscriber personally, but I don't have it in me at the moment. I do love what you do though.
I get it!!

Thank you Bridget! I don't know who is saying you have a "branding problem" but you don't seem to have.
I frequently vent my frustrations with the current thing (occasionally using humour) in my pieces here.
Better out than in I reckon.
Thanks for everything Bridget. Have been following you for a few years now and you're always a breath of relatable fresh air.
Xx ❤️
Great promo video!!

I appreciate any tags you come up with too!
Hello Bridget, I heard you on Glens show yesterday, Today I’m in. Should be a hoot.
Welcome!

I will keep doing it, even if Biden wins, I promise.

Love this, thank you, I needed to hear it.
You have podcasts on Locals too. Does it work differently (better?) on Substack?
Better on substack because they have a player.

We emailed you, Eve!
