I guess there are three things which nourish me - nutrition/exercise, AA meetings, and my faith. I don't get to as many meetings as I once did, but every time I go I feel nourished and refreshed afterwards. There's something about being in a room full of people just like me - living day to day with an incurable disease while working to become a better version of ourselves - that's comforting and nourishing to my mind. It's an important reminder that things in the world, all of which are outside of my control, really aren't all that important. Practicing my faith nourishes my spirit. It reminds me that I'm not in control, and the more I try to be in control the more unhappy or "stuck" I can feel. A daily practice of surrender to a power greater than myself nourishes my spirit. Being intentional about what I put in my body and getting some daily exercise for this amazing machine of mine nourishes my physical self.

Body, mind, and spirit. Every day.
