You’re not broken. You’re overstimulated. And you're not alone. Our brains weren’t built for this endless sugar crash of information. Here's what we need to do about it.
Great article. However a gigabyte is not a unit of information in human terms 75GB of text files is vastly more than information than 75GB of 4k video. How was this number even reached? I know you're just saying that we get much more information than we used to, but this just annoys the crap out of me.
I am not even half way through the article, and already know I am suffering from said affliction. I consider myself relatively disconnected and am not constantly online: minimal socials, etc. Just like the person who is in otherwise amazing physical health finding out they have metabolic syndrome, I've found myself starting to display the symptoms associated with informational diabetes. I tend to over-correct. I've considered investing in a digital camera; ditching the iPhone for a flip phone or land line as a start on my journey to heal from this malady.
