Not done with the ep entirely yet but the mention of influencers and Tipper Gore's impact means I must mention my research into how influencers were being used by the entertainment industry since the 90s! And at the risk of waving the moral panic flag, that included lots of adult content (as per their own documentation) that they used pre/teens to market. There were teens tagged with being influencers on forums and chats and "IRL". It seems to have been mainstreamed but also gotten more intense in fan communities with stan culture.
