Happy Friday, Pham! Sorry for the delay in a newsletter, I’ll be blasting these out on Fridays regularly again now that we are done with THE TAXES, the plague, and we have adjusted to Daylight Savings which was clearly invented to torture parents.

I’m currently sitting in a hotel in Dallas, living my dream? I write that with a question because I just got finished talking with my buddy, Glenn Beck, on his radio show. So clearly the way my life and path have unfolded has been surprising but for the past two days I’ve been doing what I always wanted to do—write and joke about the culture, perform in some sketch comedy, and tonight I’m doing stand-up comedy. It’s what I set out to do in Los Angeles and it took getting sober, getting married, having a baby, and moving to Texas to get here.

Life is weird like that when we stay open to whatever it is presenting us. My creative drive has always been my guiding light. I know that if I stay focused on the content and not the results of the content, everything will unfold exactly as it should, in whatever timeline it should. Do I always agree with the timeline? Hell no! But I draw an enormous amount of faith in the idea that I’m exactly where I should be. As the famous inspirational quote goes, “You don’t have to see the whole staircase, you just have to take the first step.”
