What a beautiful letter! This left me feeling really inspired and uplifted. I think your approach to politics and looking at all sides is the way to go. I'd like to think that more and more people will take a similar approach, once it becomes apparent that all this division and polarisation is not making the world a better place. It's sad how many people don't understand the outside perspective on the US system. Yet the reverse is also true. Many of those outside the US don't understand the way in which America is different generally than other countries. Being from Canada, I understand it because we're so close to what the US is doing. We basically live off what the US does in many ways.
