I am honestly dreading the election. You never get a break from some kind of election here in the US - I seem to receive a constant stream of melodramatic political ads. Even when I have liked someone (DeSantis), his gubernatorial ad that painted him as a god was so off-putting. Plus, his hate speech laws make me uneasy. Ultimately, it is never wise to put your faith in any individual, as they are human. I am not sure that I'll bother voting - perhaps I could be swayed to if Rand Paul was a candidate (unlikely to happen).
ROFLMAO! Since when did Donald Trump 'reshape" the GOP in his own image? If he did anything, it was attract voters who had been voting for Democrats. It's not an accident that he attracted more votes than ANY Republican, EVER! Republicans would have lost the 2016 election to Hillary Clinton with any other candidate, then where would we be? Yes, Biden "won" the election by cheating (which is what Democrats do) and with the help of COVID, which he blamed on Trump. Without COVID, Trump would be in the White House right now. Democrats didn't "win" the 2022 Congressional elections, they just didn't lose as badly as hoped. Now it turns out that there's evidence that Biden engaged in criminal activity as VP, but the Obama White House swept it under the rug.
