As a man, I'm very much a luddite, despite my use of a phone, which is about five generations behind. I refuse to get a smart assistant, allow voice control on my remote (the cable installer finally gave up trying to force me after saying he was required to set it up), I still use an iPod to listen to music on the go instead of my phone, buy physical media, use cash when I can... and as I age, I find myself regressing and wanting to use less and less of the tech that I've already adopted. I'm also planning on not buying any car that requires any kind of internet connection. I draw an absolute line at paying a subscription to have heated seats or run the risk of some bureaucrat or law enforcement official bricking my car by mistake. Hell, if I had $20K right now, I'd buy the '82 Jeep Wagoneer with wood paneling on the side that I saw for sale the other day.

Why all the jumps?
