While I applaud Ravi for going on and having this conversation it was hugely flawed. In the same way that he and others accuse Trump of lying he did the same, like saying January 6th had police deaths, an absurd claim that was debunked a long time ago but is a popular narrative among those who love to paint J6 as something much worse than it really was! Another absurd claim is that Trump's rally speeches don't make sense and he contradicts himself in the same sentence. I'm sure if you only watch short clips passed around in leftist echo chambers it would certainly appear that way but I'm certain that Ravi has never watched anything more than carefully selected clips. Context matters and so does knowing the full story instead of spewing bunk talking points that amount to lies. The concession of power thing is another point that the leftists love to spew despite most of them not accepting 2016 and not acknowledging the riots that followed and the YEARS of investigations and fake news about Russia. The documentary '2000 Mules' proved enough fraud to sway the election and there was much more than that. Maybe someday we can get everyone to objectively acknowledge the fraud and give Trump credit for not conceding to a deeply flawed and rigged election.

I agree, but I also respect that that's what he thinks and that he seems like the type of person that would be open to listening and at least considering that he's wrong about his position. There are too many people on both sides of the spectrum that just engage in yelling and name calling. Personally, I think J6 was a setup. I get that there are some people who are just never going to accept that and I'm not going to change their minds and I'm certainly not going to change their minds by yelling and calling them libtards or whatever. (I'm 100% guilty of that myself, by the way) The vast majority of the time, the real enemy isn't those who think different than you do, it's the corrupt institutions who are actively undermining the people. If we're constantly at each others' throats we'll never get anywhere, which is exactly what the corrupt want.

People have cut me out, including family— just for dating a Trump supporter, even though I’d been dating him for years before Trump even ran.

Also the crying videos remind me of the YouTube/TikTok Breakup/dumped Corn 🌽 trend. It’s like the exact same content— young women crying hysterically on camera.

Why is Ravi Gupta the first sane Democrat I have heard in a long time?

No, anyone that tells you Jared Polis is the goal isn't sane.

I don't agree with everything he said, but he makes it easy to disagree with him, meaning I don't hate him. If we were having a conversation, he probably wouldn't change my mind and I probably wouldn't change his mind, but I feel like we could both respect each other's positions.

I agree. You can tell he is sincere in his positions. But I almost gasped when he said he would like to see the Democrat Party rebuild from the local ground upwards. The Democrat Party is strictly top-down and I don't think they will ever relinquish that.

Well, I live in California and there's plenty of local democrats here, which means I'm living in top to bottom democrat utopia, so there's that.

What I like about Bridget is that she seems like a rabid centerist with an anti-bullshit bias, and what I really liked about him (and what I was saying to a friend of mine last night) is what he was said about the push and pull that's necessary to make this country work. It's true - you might not like everything the other side stands for, but there's always going to be an equilibrium of sorts. I think for both sides, generally speaking, corruption is the real enemy, and not so much the difference of opinion on most things.

I totally agree with you. I live in WA State and when you have only one party endlessly in control it leads to exactly what you say.

Jared Polis has fucked Colorado with the sanctuary state bullshit. Same with the mayors of Denver. Big fucking deal on the good he's done when he's contributed to major increase in crime, overspending, overcrowded schools, high homelessness, high open drug use and slashing the police presence and attempting to restrict gun ownership after helping to increase violent crime. If that's the way the Dems want to head then everyone should run even farther away from that party. He's mile high Gavin Newsom.

Edit to add: I don't think 2020 was a rejection of Trump, it was a rejection of covid policy which was largely not even set by him. If covid hadn't come along with the insane overreaction (which is still continuing on the left) he would have won 2020. Economy was good, prices were fine, jobs were fine, foreign policy was improving, wars were on the way out or on hold. People freaked cuz of covid. And we can have a lot of discussions of why covid was handled the way it was globally, origins, pharma controversies, etc. that definitely have nothing to do with him. Biden tanked everything even harder after that.

Polis doesn't debate pronouns because he already allowed self ID. Men have 100% access to women's spaces in Colorado.

but Trump won't be trying(we all expect and hope and should enforce) to run again, like Biden. The backlash wasn't that Biden can't think it was that they weren't admitting it and seemingly we're gonna run him again and then lied about it constantly. So there is a whole backstory to the aging Biden that's not being discussed in most of the discussions around this last election. I for one want to know who actually is making decisions when I vote for the president. I am voting for a team but just still gotta know who the head is if you have to go work that.

RE: Breaking with former friends. Is this a left-wing thing OR is this a FEMALE thing? Let us know. When women face off on opposing sides, is there an element of betrayal when female friends disagree?
