Nothing wrong at all with having a good discussion, in any topic, including politics. Mary K. Ham is of a background on or in Journalism. So, then free speech is a basic yet strong foundation to start questioning everything .

I am a civil liberties voter and the Democrats are the most aligned against my civil liberties, and they own our major institutions from Hollywood, legacy media, and the whole system of public education K-University. They are actively trying to erase opposition with the legal system and pressing private companies to censor for them.

I don't believe Trump has ever valued civil liberties and he has often spoken out against free speech and has advanced civil asset forfeiture without due process in his administration, but among his base are now civil libertarians.

Very late, but I just listened to this episode - I think I would like a Phetasy-Ham podcast very much.

Re: Kurt Schlichter’s comment after you suggest the right has a woman problem. Even if I didn’t already agree with you, I’d probably change my mind knowing that he opposes you. Mr. Schlichter belongs to the small group of writers whose work I will deny myself, even if the headline promises subject matter that interests me. Experience brought me to this decision. Reading his work never gave me new information or ideas. I may come late, but I am on your side of this matter even more after his boorish comment.

I feel this episode was a stream of consciousness directly out of my brain. I am a 46 year old woman, center-right, who has never voted for Trump. Came close in 2020 and was beyond grateful I had not after Jan 6. I find him abhorrent and generally unfit. But I am so disgusted with the democratic machine and have no confidence in Harris. They did everything they could to help Trump be their opponent, elevated misdemeanors to sham felony charges, suppressed any chance of a competitive democratic primary, tried to keep Bidens mental acuity in the dark despite the obvious, and then Pelosi, Obama, and George Clooney anoint Harris behind closed doors. I am secretly hoping Trump wins, but not sure I can vote for him and if I do, I would not share that with my friends and family. This decision is torturing me though I live in a sold blue state so my vote won’t really matter. But I do wonder if the fact that I, a solid never-Trumper, is actually hoping deep down that he wins, perhaps this won’t even be close. God help us all if this comes down to 10,000 votes in PA.
