It's true that fuelling outrage pays well on both sides of the divide, unfortunately. I appreciate you, Bridget, for bringing us these level-headed and reasonable perspectives. Well done!
Absolutely brilliant talk! I am going to look into Benji Backer's work more. As a woman in my fifties, I've been through both climate alarmism (as a teen and in my twenties) and a more rational, balanced appraoch as I age. But one thing that's always been true since way back then was how politicised this whole issue is, and how much mis/disinformation and fear-mongering is preventing us from finding solutions collectively, regardless of whether you're left/right/liberal. How encouraging to see a young person like Benji bringing all of this to the debate, as well as looking for actual commonsense solutions. This approach is sorely missing from current discourse. If only politicians made as much sense as him. Thank you for this excellent interview! It really gave me hope.
