> "Sugar Daddy Websites"

Sadly for me, a case of champagne tastes and beer money ... 😉🙂

But fortunately not all women -- mostly women in the profession -- think that it is the proverbial "fate worse than death". No doubt there are more than a few pathological aspects or features to it -- though one might reasonably say the same about most human behaviours. With the possible exceptions of motherhood and apple pie, and the latter at least is definitely moot ... 🙂

But with prostitution, one might reasonably argue - at least as something of a Devil's advocate ... -- that the issue is often less with the principle involved than with the often "unfair" remuneration offered. Kind of like the difference between a union shop and a sweat shop. 🙂

I’d like for someone to steel man the female perspective as to what they should get and give when signing up for these sights.

That was really interesting... among the many enlightening parts of this conversation, I felt the need to chime in about abstinence before marriage, the idea of having faith in ourselves vs others etc.... As a Christian man my views might not be completely welcome but I agree with many who say there is a "God-shaped hole" in our souls which is often filled with love of self. We can make good decisions on our own, but times will come when we doubt ourselves, then we might turn our faith towards a person or a movement. I think Brooke, and maybe Bridget too, will be drawn to God without knowing it at first, because the wisdom of being careful about finding a mate, or of not relying too much upon others, these ideas are well-known to Christians.

But really, not trying to proselytize, just observing how points in the conversation echo Christian beliefs and safeguards.

SHOCKER Sugardaddy websites aren't for most women...young women especially are in over their heads. I was in my 40s when I first got on and it led to the most fabulous 15yrs of my life.

Just bc this woman can't compartmentalize her sexual activity doesn't mean lots of us can. This comes across a lot like church elders clutching their pearls till they choke. Give me a break

Bridget

This was a good interview and I loved how your pressed her at the end about the transactional nature of her relationship choice in a spouse. You even said before that that it’s never 50/50, which it’s not. She did clarity but I feel she thinks a man should make more and take care of her and she shouldn’t have to contribute financially. This is not how it plays out in 95% of modern life. I wish her good luck in her search, though.

Bridget, also you live in TX. Please get some sun. For your health!

I have known some women who feel like they gain value ( Bridget kept calling it transactional) from getting money or gifts from their man

It’s a sexual kink, a little, but also a way she checks her own value. I would wish for these women that they would be strong in their value without it, but it’s a common thing

Men also find security and self esteem from their ability to give money, so if these types can find each other and give love and appreciation in that relationship that can be a start
