My first wouldn't sleep during naptimes or go to bed early. My pediatrician told me some babies don't need as much sleep, which is okay, but I was exhausted. I'm hoping it gets better for you sooner rather than later.

I love Spencer! Bridget, I'm so sorry about your bedtime struggles. I wish I had advice for you, but I don't even know why/how my own kids outgrew this. The book The Happiest Baby on the Block was a huge help. I know he had a version of it for toddlers too, but I didn't read that one. But it WILL get better. I don't know how helpful this is, but I remember the frustration of thinking it never would. 💛
Unfortunately I can't listen to any of those weird distorted semi-Zuckerberg voices for any longer than 2 minutes or so - it's just too much. Fortunately, this no doubt excellent guy belongs to only a tiny minority of speakers who (want to) sound like they're speaking from six foot under the ground. Also fortunate: the transcript is available.
I remember when as a young man, I asked my preacher “how do you reconcile the Bible’s account of Creation versus the theory of evolution.”
His response was helpful. “I’ve found it best if you don’t try to use the Bible as a science textbook.”
