This week was awful for humanity.
Charlie Kirk was publicly and violently murdered for practicing free speech, killed because of his words—a conservative podcaster gunned down in front of students and iPhones, ten feet from his wife and two small children. The imagery of that scene will haunt our collective psyche for decades, probably longer.
As Bridget put it, “A lot of what I’ve been reflecting on this past week is to what extent I’m part of the problem by partaking in this media ecosystem. I’m not sure what it means in practice—but changes are coming.”
All this tragedy and destruction has been exhausting, so, as Bridget said, now is the time for a breather. Get some rest, enjoy the people who make your life special. If you pray: pray.
Team Phetasy loves you guys.
May God bless you and keep you safe. We’ll see you next week when, hopefully, it’ll be much easier to laugh.
