Have NEVER failed to vote in my life. R all my life until maybe 25 years ago (I'm 79). Decided the R party had left me. It was a decision a long time coming. Registered I, hoping maybe the waters would divide and the heavens would open, fostering in a realistically chanced I candidate. No such luck. Got my bandana and stick, made a sandwich and hit the road. Have been homeless since. Held my nose and voted R in 2016. What an ass he was. Now in 2024 I've voted R with less candidate odor yet still not happy about it. All I see are slightly different flavors of we want your money and obedience. I will never see a true change in my remaining lifetime and we will never vote our way out of this.
