Politics these days have become so divided and divisive that it’s become the norm to view the other side of the aisle as “the enemy”. People are being told to “pick a side” and that there’s no room for middle ground. We here at Phetasy believe that there are a lot more people in the middle than politicians and the media would have us believe.
We’re collecting stories from the ever growing number of people who are finding themselves Politically Homeless and posting them here on Substack. If you have moved from conservative to liberal, or liberal to conservative, if you feel you’ve stayed in the same place and your party has swerved drastically away from you, if you had a moment that awakened you to the insanity and hypocrisy on both sides, if you keep your mouth shut anytime a political topic comes up because you’re afraid your opinion will cause you to lose friends or your job, you’re not as alone as you might think.
Our goal is to shine a light on people’s earnest, individual experiences and show them they’re not alone.

Letter 107:
September 10, 2024
You said you wanted to hear from us...
I personally am still on the f*ck it fence.
I'm angry that RKF's campaign had to end with coalescence. I feel that we deserve more than two options. I feel that both the Democratic and Republican parties are corrupt. I was hoping for an actual grassroots movement to emerge through RFK.
I voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, but after seeing him bend the knee to the pharmaceutical companies & lock downs during the covid and covid vaccine era, I swore I would never vote for him again. I'm angry that I may be forced to this time.
I deeply regretted not voting 3rd party last time, even if just for an F-You vote, but here we are again with abysmal options.
RFK's platform had given me hope that 15% of the population would send the F-You message to the establishment, but alas, we have circled back to two parties slinging their turds at each other.
Sidenote: I do understand RFK's decision to use the time he has left to be as effective as possible in increasing the health of our children. I do think that is important and the most logical decision for him to have made. I just really, really, REALLY was hoping for a change in the political landscape and I'm concerned that the hope for that will disappear after another four years of whatever you call the current landscape.
Sincerely,
Politically Homeless
