Greetings from the Phetaverse,
This last week I had the privilege of talking to Naomi Petel for Walk-Ins Welcome, a woman who survived the Hamas attacks in Israel on October 7th. Her story is incomprehensible, the kind of stuff I had only read about in books that described what Jews have endured throughout history. It is mind-blowing to me that this happened in our lifetime—and as hard it as might be—I strongly suggest listening to her account. We cannot look away.
There is so much that we want to look away from, like antisemitism and Ukraine and the fact that adults are wearing baby diapers and going to their own spa in New Hampshire. Yes, you read that correctly. Another random tidbit we covered last week on Dumpster Fire. When people tell us that we here at Phetasy Inc have a “branding problem” and I see Naomi’s video next to our Dumpster Fire titled, “The Diaper People” I realize they might have a point.
I’m having a hard time forming coherent sentences because the child, host monkey that she is, has brought the plague into our home and my brain doesn’t feel like it’s fully functioning—so I’m going to keep this brief and go try to get some rest. I hope you’re all healthy and happy and ready to take on your taxes. Don’t procrastinate! Get it off your plate.
