X formerly Twitter has a “for you” feed and that is how I stumbled on the story of Baby Gus.
Baby Gus was born with a heart condition and needed a heart transplant, which he received. But there were complications and it was around this time that the algorithm captured me with the father, Mark’s, update about Gus’s condition. It was January 16th, almost two months ago. He’d received a perfect match but the heart wasn’t beating. He was asking for prayers that the heart would start again.
It did.
“This little baby is going to make me believe in God,” I said to my husband.
He said, “I’m worried you’re going to be devastated if this doesn’t end well."
