What’s the most memorable New Year’s Eve you’ve ever had?
I’ve had quite a few memorable New Year’s Eves. Some phenomenal, others a bit dark and wild. Most of the New Year’s Eves of my 20s were spent working in a restaurant. Anyone who pushes back against the idea that New Year’s is amateur hour has never worked in the service industry.
Eleven years ago I was waking up with a wicked hangover in Sydney, Australia. Ten years ago I was waking up in Sri Lanka. Those were definitely two of the most memorable New Years although I think the Sri Lanka NYE was by far the best I’ve ever had—points for originality.
