I’m Restless Sea blue. Relentless rain and long days with a teething baby who refuses to nap have me stir crazy, like the Atlantic Ocean on a winter day. Dark and moody. I’m Radiohead’s Amnesiac on repeat. The perfect winter album. “Like Spinning Plates” is how my brain feels as we lurch into 2023, which already has an unsettling vibe. Lots of people I know are going through break ups, worried about their incomes, dealing with health struggles and financial insecurity. Every single person I know with kids in school has been dealing with sickness since the beginning of the school year. Months and months of coughs, fevers, and sniffles.

There is an unsettling vibe in America, too.
