What is a recent insight you had about yourself?

Today in therapy I read yesterday’s rant. It wasn’t really the content of the rant I wanted to unpack with her. It was more about the way I felt this morning when I woke up after posting it.

“How did you feel?” She asked me in that quintessential therapist tone.

“Ashamed.” I told her.

Ashamed that I’d been so mad—but even more shameful that I’d shared my fury with everyone. I felt exposed, like I’d allowed the world a glimpse of my Dark Side.
