I’m writing a book. At last.

Yes, I’m writing a book. It’s been a long time coming and I’m so excited to finally be able to share this secret project I’ve been working on, THE LEFT CAN’T MEME: How the Funny People Became the Fun Police.

The last decade has been dizzying. When I sat down to think about what I wanted to write a whole book about, I only wanted to process what happened. Had you told 2015 Hillary Clinton voting Bridget that I’d end up a Texas, suburban mom who would vote for Trump in 2025—I would have laughed in your face.

But this isn’t just another story about “how the left lost me” although there are millions upon millions of people for whom this is true (and will continue to be the more the left doubles down on “Democratic Socialism” aka Communism) it’s a story about how the left lost their sense of humor and with it, the culture.

And I wasn’t just an observer—as someone who was writing for Playboy during #metoo, doing comedy during Woke 1.0, been on the Joe Rogan Experience several times, and fled my blue state for a red one—I had a front row seat to the madness.

This isn’t just the story of how one woman tweeted her way into the center of the culture war, it’s a reflection on this Dumpster Fire of a decade and how the establishment lost control.

It’s a love letter to the anonymous shitposters, the meme lords, and the normies who just want to be entertained after a long day at work.
