Just gotta say there's only one good thing that came out of covid. I'll go to my grave loving the 6ft social distancing policy.

Thanks for this. BEST part of my day and I've only been up for 4hrs. I've followed RFK Jr for over 10yrs and (as a lifelong leftie, no less) become more and more impressed by Rand Paul (though I've loved his dad for decades). A big fat burly jolt of reality is needed on this topic but few are capable of summarizing it so well as you do here

I feel like a knob. I commented the other day, but here's what I should've said: if you want to be sure the MMR vaccine (or any of the others) is good for your child, be sure to first read the product monograph or "insert." Doctors don't provide them (odd, isn't it?) - so you have to dig them up yourself. All U.S. vaccine monographs can be found here: https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/vaccines/vaccines-licensed-use-united-states Here is one example of an MMR monograph: https://www.merck.com/product/usa/pi_circulars/m/mmr_ii/mmr_ii_pi.pdf Pay particular attention to Section 6 on Adverse Reactions (pg. 4). There's tons to know about vaccines, & quite a bit just about measles. It's a much deeper topic than most people realize. The Children's Health Defense site has gobs of useful info. I just learned today Texas has a group called Texans for Vaccine Choice. Choice is the key piece. That, & informed consent. We can't make informed medical decisions if we're not given all the info up front.

I keep thinking back to covid times. If I did not want to test every week I needed to get the jab. I really disliked the testing so I did it. but when I got the 1st does I promptly missed the next 3 days of work, laid up sicker than a dog. Same thing when I got the 2nd jab 3 more days missed just laying in bed. When I actually got covid 3 years later my wife made me take the anti viral. pax something. Never again will I take that. Made everything I ate or drank taste like metal. I spent 6 days laying in bed. I keep being told that the vax and the anti viral kept me from the hospital by my family. Really seems to me the vax made me miss the same amount of work as the actual virus.

Would also like to mention that I am one of those who was not able to say good bye to my dad during covid. Only two people per day and if you left you could not return so my mom stayed every day all day. What this has led to is I have dreams about my dad where he is around but is upset that we sold all of his stuff at an action. This is about a once every couple of weeks dream for me.

One of the guys that was grilling RFK sounded just like Mr. Mackey from South Park. “Did you say that exposure to pesticides causes kids to become transgender, mkay?” 😂

You lost me on this one, Bridget! I'm a fan of RFK Jr. In my case this goes back decades, to his work as an environmental lawyer & co-founder of the Riverkeeper organization. His voice issue is the result of a medical condition. Sure seems pretty "small" to me to mock a person for that. Finally, if your child's MMR vaccine WORKS, why would you care whether or not other children got it? If it works, you needn't care about the other kids ... right? Full disclosure: I'm a full-on "anti-vaxxer," & not at all shy about saying so. Took me to the age of 63 (with the onset of grandmotherhood) & a ton of curiosity and research. I arrived late to that particular party... but better late than never! (the pinned post on my site tells the story of my late arrival.)
