Altered Carbon written by Richard Morgan. the TV show was great. Except the poor could even sleeve themselves for awhile. "real death" is a thing in the show. My thinking though is we will more likely have Foundation type rule. Ai continue clone of the ruler/king and then the rest of us fighting for scraps. in that Asimov saw us all living underground so the rich can live in the open air and have green grass etc. Bridgets idea of stock piling sand is not wrong. EMP devices also might be handy.
