If a comedian posted it, I'd think, "edgy" and chuckle, because that's the job of comedians.
But... this is on the White House's official website. For what is arguably the most powerful institution on the planet to do a victory lap around a single meth dealer is unbecoming.
From the perspectives of any family members of people who have had their lives torn apart or died as a result of this dealer's meth, this feels minimizing - like a police officer doing a football player's end zone dance after arresting a murderer. I'm sure being a family member of a murdered person and witnessing that, you'd have mixed feelings.
From the perspective of the meth dealer, it actually does feel kinda like "punching down" as they say. I don't know her story, but I suspect that, since she is an unauthorized migrant selling meth in a foreign country, it's a sad one. It's good that she is being held accountable. It's just weird that the President of the United States of America is bullying her. Like... literally WTF. Imagine if the Governor of Illinois barged into a preschool and started mocking the children in time out. It's just wildly inappropriate.
As the title says, this is just mean-spirited. I don't think we should be cruel to one another, even to prisoners and criminals. I'm remembering the old bit of wisdom, "Two wrongs don't make a right." Again, comedians have more leeway to do this. But, the times and places where the White House gets to play the comedian are limited, and this wasn't it.
I think it was crass and undignified. They're winking at their followers and laughing, which just isn't dignified and not befitting the office of the presidency.
I did go through a similar thought process when I saw the real woman being arrested and crying. As soon as I heard she was a Fentanyl dealer, I no longer gave a crap.
Well isn't this a sign that I've lately watched way too much esoteric shit, getting actual news from Bridget. Still, this piece comes out awfully "newsy" And the blazer doesn't help, quite frankly. WTF, Bridget! Still, thank you! lol
Id raise 100,000 to see Bridget in leather pants
I share your hesitancy to clap at this move.

I dunno. this WH Gibli meme doesn't pass my 'so what' test.
Will the memes about the meme be awesome? 🤓
I have questions but don’t care enough about this to ask. Also- can’t tell if that lady at the end is serious or not. 🤣.

The root issue here is one of messaging. They deported a fentanyl dealer and publicly portrayed her as a cartoon version of a victim.
