Bridget is back.
My three favorite things from this week:
Being on Walk-Ins Welcome - What a fun and exciting experience.
The Shanghai-Las - The Girl Group era is so much fun. Dramatic songs about betrayal, kissing, and candy stores. The Shagri-Las took this formula to a whole new level.
Crime Wave (1954) - Film Noir is a blast, and Crime Wave is the perfect example. A wild story from start to finish. The actor Sterling Hayden is mesmerizing here, and his life story is well worth a late-night Wikipedia dive.

Authentic Writing Still Matters in the Age of AI - Kevin Ryan

They cover why everyone should have some revolutionary instincts in their 20s, why the loss of trust in media might be healthy, and how the center has become so centerless, why some of Kevin's favorite philosophers and writers are critical theorists and post-modernists.

There’s so much going on in the world but we’ve decided to focus on two stories that matter most to Dumpster Fire - The WNBA dildo-gate and Jim Acosta's creepy AI interview of a dead child.
