There weren’t many routines in my childhood what with all the moving—but there was a brief year, year and a half where my mom or dad took us to dance class every single Saturday. I had the trifecta jazz/tap/ballet. Perhaps because this was one of the few things we did consistently for a while, the smells are more ingrained in my brain. The sensations creating a groove in my brain connected to doing something that I loved—dancing.
