April 3 - Escape!
When you spend enough time online (or too much—as is the case with me) inevitably you’ll bump into the phrase, “Get out of cities.”
Describe your ultimate escape plan (and tell us what you’re escaping from).
My ultimate escape plan would be to fake my own death and go open a taco shack on a beach somewhere in the world—but that was pre-husband and pre-baby. Currently there are phases to the escape plan. Phase one is to get out of Los Angeles and get into a position where I’m not lighting money on fire every month building someone else’s dream, helping to assure their future, building their wealth.
Los Angeles has been good to me and there are many things that I will miss—but this city and the world are not the same place that they were when I moved here 16 years ago. Definitely the city becomes more unhinged every day—but the state of America and the world has slipped into chaos. Unrest. The pandemic and the subsequent protests/riots put a lot into perspective for me.
