That is a lovely poem - and one that really touches my heart - having dogs over the years who have done just that. I am really missing my dogs right now. Maybe enough time has passed to think about adding another little furry family member.
This is what the New Yorker should be. I gave up on them years ago. How about taking user submitted short stories and/or poems and picking some standouts to feature?
