Part II: Step Brothers  (Out July 25)

If Will Ferrell can come out with one movie per month for the rest of his life as a funnyman, I will be the happiest dang girl in the world.

There is funny, and then there is comic genius. Will happens to be the latter.  In the forthcoming Step Brothers Will and pal John C. Reilly maintain their love affair with the man of the hour, the producer with his finger on the pulse, current King of Hollywood, Mr. Judd Apatow (Talladega Nights, Knocked Up, Walk Hard, Superbad...seemingly every other decent comedy of the past 5 years....).  Apatow continues his reign and we bow to him. Because he makes stuff like this!



It looks like quite possibly the funniest Will Ferrell movie in a while. But then again, I think everything he does is funny.  He could do hand modeling on the Shopping Channel and it would be hysterical.

Adam McKay (Talladega Nights, "The Landlord") directs Step Brothers and he brings out the best of Ferrell.  Together they started Funny Or Die, a website devoted to finding and producing some of the funniest viral videos known to man. If you have never seen "The Landlord" you are missing an instant classic.  In fact I'll make it easy for you and post it at the end of this blog. 

The men behind the marketing unleashed this "deleted scene" this past week on Funny or Die and the whole entire thing is quotable.

Speaking of marketing, the movie poster makes me and everyone I else I know (2 people) laugh out loud every time they drive by one.  A brilliant campaign. So effective that I propose the City of Los Angeles keep those posters up for eternity in a continuous effort (alongside practically-legalizing marijauna) to promote posi-vibes on the rage-filled streets.
